Ingrediente:

     700 ml iaurt
     200 g gris
     2 oua
     6 linguri zahar
     150 g pesmet
     50 g unt
     vanilie
     1 vf sare

Cum se face:

Punem intr-o craticioara la fiert la foc mic iaurtul.

Adaugam 4 linguri zahar, vanilia, sarea si ouale batute si amestecam bine.

Servim caldute (eventual le mai incalzim 5 minute in cuptor).

Puteti servi cu dulceata, asa cum am facut eu :) Este delicios si numai bun daca aveti copii!

Mai de aproape...Bon appetit!

This dessert is one of my childhood's favorite ones, it's very simple to make and tasty. Because I haven't found recipes online for these dumplings, I called my mom to ask her the recipe, so very fast I've finished making the dumplings :) I totally forgot how good they taste, and most of all they're very light to be consumed for breakfast along with some raspberry jam in my case, or why not some fruits, chocolate, or just sprinkled with cocoa powder, cinnamon, etc. Bon appetit!
I'm participating with this recipe on April's YBR on Spicie Foodie!

Ingredients:

     700 ml plain yogurt
     200 g semolina
     2 eggs
     6 tablespoons sugar
     150 g bread crumbs
     50 g butter
     vanilla
     a pinch of salt

How it's made:

In a small pot we pout the yogurt and we place the pot on low heat.
We add 4 tablespoons of sugar, a pinch of salt, vanilla and the 2 beaten eggs.
We stir and we let it cook on low heat.
When the yogurt starts to boil, we gradually add the semolina, stirring with a whisk, so lumps don't form.
When the semolina starts to thicken we remove the pot and we leave it to cool for 15 minutes.
In a large skillet we heat the butter and we add the bread crumbs mixed with the 2 tablespoons of sugar and we let it fry just a little bit, stirring constantly.
With a tablespoon we form dumplings from the semolina and we place them in the pan.
We gently mix them with the bread crumbs, until they're fully covered.
We serve them warm. They're delicious and they go along with jam or sweet sauces, chocolate, cream, or just sprinkled with some cinnamon. Bon appetit!

  13. Ellie, I'm happy you like it :) We always had these for breakfast when we were kids, and I like them better than "papanasi"; to be honest, there aren't any recipes online for these dumplings, so my mother told me the recipe for them. If you want to make these dumplings, and you want them not that thick, you can reduce the semolina a little :)
I'm happy to see that you like this recipe, and I hope you'll like their taste also :) You can add some flavors in the paste, like lemon juice or vanilla, etc. With semolina you can also make "gris pane", I don't know if you heard of it.

Thank you for your lovely comment and I wish you too a beautiful weekend! In Toronto it's raining :)
